Congratulations to the former RTEA President Neil for receiving the 2021 Hiroki Ogawa ENV Citizenship Award from the School of Environment!

This prestigious acknowledgment is awarded to the postgraduate student who has shown aptitude for independent research and who, through their contributions, has inspired or helped their fellow students and staff within the school (in other words has been an excellent citizen).

This award is in memory of Hiroki Ogawa, who completed a PhD and Post Doc in the School of Environment. Hiroki, who became a legend in the School, tragically lost his life in 2013.

Throughout the 2021 year Neil has proven himself to be worthy of this award by creating an exclusive environment within the RTEA student association and providing numerous activities for its members. Neil volunteers much of his time for this cause and is a fantastic leader with his kind and caring attitude lifting spirits whenever he is around. Neil has completed his studies at the university, hence is moving on but will be missed within the association. Good luck Neil!
